I've used my Handspring for half a year and am generally delighted. Two issues:
1. Installing some of the 3rd party software has been problematic. This is hardly Handspring's fault, but it is sometimes clunky to download and install programs. (Specifically some AvantGo materials, and Conduit.) I've hand much better luck having programs beamed to me from other palm OS devices.
2. My Handspring developed a tiny crack in the case. It took only a tiny argument for them to send me a new one. I was quite satisfied.

I have fully graduated to Handspring/Palm from paper organizers and address books. I would have bet against that happening. I'm a happy user.
