Pros: Good color, spiffy cases
Cons: RF emissions interfere with modem, heavy, can flake out when changing springboards
The Bottom Line: Skip it. Lighter weight, more reliable tools are available now.

| MetaGrrrl's Full Review: Handspring Visor Prism Handheld |
I just returned my springboard modem to the fine folks at OmniSky (who were wonderful about it and whose modem for the Palm V I recommend highly) because the Handspring Prism emits excessive RF and the modem couldn't hold a signal.
It's annoying, because I purchased the Prism with the modem as part of a promotion. Had I known I'd have this hassle, I would have got the Platinum instead.
Also experienced a problem on removing the modem wherein the Prism locked up completely and had to be allowed to run out of battery life and lose it's memory before it would function again. (Naturally this happened while I was travelling).
The Prism is also pretty heavy in comparison with the older Visor and with Palms (and presumably with the new Visor Edge).
If you need a compact, lightweight, portable wireless solution I would recommend you go with a Palm V & OmniSky modem. If you absolutely gotta have color, I'd ask the manufacturers some hard questions about the emitted RF.
