I received the Palm III as a gift about 3 yrs ago and fell in love with it instantly! Before I had the palm, I was using the Franklin Planner (which I didn’t use very often). When I first received the Palm III I thought it would end up like the Franklin Planner – just sitting on my desk being ignored. Boy was I wrong! It is VERY easy to use and install. It took me a couple of days to get use to writing in it, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes second nature.
I currently have my Palm III intergraded with Outlook and several web pages (i.e., Mapquest). I keep all my personal and business contact in it and rely on it daily. I love the fact that it has an alarm to remind you about a meeting that is coming up soon. The features on this are endless. I use just about every feature on it, with exception to the memo pad. It is to hard and slow to write a memo with it while you are in a meeting.
After about 8 months of use, I noticed that the screen was acting up. It wouldn’t recognized some of my commands. I called Palm and it was sit under warranty and they replaced it fee of charge – not only did they replace it free of charge they sent me a new one before I sent mine back to them. I was very impressed with the service. So not only do I recommend the Palm III, I also recommend the Palm Corporation.
