I went through tons of information on PDA's and narrowed down the choice to the Palm III xe. I liked the 8 Megs of memory and the very inexpensive price tag. After it arrived I spent a couple of hours adding all of my addresses, phone numbers and the software advantgo. The next day the Palm III xe had a memory error and I had to make a hard reset. All of my information was on my PC saved nicely 200 miles away and now I was in trouble.
This problem can be fixed by loading some software from the Palm website, but even after this fix I have had to hard reset the Palm III xe over 15 times in 6 months.
I have had to buy another PDA, because of this problem. I have to have a PDA that is reliable or carry around a PC to Hot Sync to if the need arises. I do not recommend this PDA to anyone that has to travel away from his or her PC for any distance.
