Some friends on mine and I were out for dinner recently...German food at the Black Forest Inn. After dinner (steak with fried onions and mushrooms for me), we decided on a movie. But what to see? And where to see it?

My trusty Palm V to the rescue!

You see, I had downloaded to my Palm the movie times for that evening earlier in the day. I took the Palm out of my pocket....

-- did I mention that it fits neatly in my pocket? Even with the nifty Palm Computing wallet attached to it? With all my money and credit cards in one tidy place? What's there not to like about that? --

and fired up Showtimes. Mark and I had already seen Fight Club and three of us had already seen American Beauty, so we settled on Bringing Out the Dead. It was playing at the Mall at 9:30...too far away to catch it. But the Edina 4 was right down the road...perfect for the 9:45 show.

The movie was pretty good.
