Why Palm VX!

If you are looking for PDA and looking for which ones to buy, seriously consider Palm VX. Here is good/bad of the palm Vx compare to other PDAs. There are three main advantages of the palm verse other brands. First, its functions and easy of use. Keep all your meeting times, places, people, phone numbers and other information safely tucked away in Palm Vx. It has simple beeping sound to remind you when the appointment is near. You can synch with Outlook for contacts and meeting. All you have to do is dock the palm and press one simple button. So far, I only have to soft reset once since I got it. For Cassiopeia, I have to soft reset every other week. Talk about the reliability of the platform. Second most important feature is free software and Avantgo. There are more softwares that are available for Palm os than window CE. You can download and install the programs into the palm very easily. Also, AvantGo makes your life more fun. I can synchronize daily news, stock performance, and other news article using avantgo. However, you need 8MB. I use about 2-3Mb for Avantgo and 1 MB for other free sofewares. Last and most important is the Size. You can ignore the how important size can be. My biggest problem with Cassiopeia was that I seldom carry it since it was too bulky. This creates a problem of not using the PDA. When I got Palm Vx, that problem went away. Although, it is still get in your way inside of you pocket, it is doable. If you want to carry in you pockets, don't forget hardcase. Oh, it does looks very classy. All my friends have play with my palm to checkout and play games. Not to mention use for checking movies shedules.
Ok, then what is bad about this PDA. Money!!!! It is very pricey compare to other PDA out there. People say not having expandable memory is minus. So, far I did not have momery problems with Palm Vx. Although it does have a night-light, it is very annoying and gets your eyes tire easily. Lastly, it is very fragile. Screen can crack with any type of impact such as dropping it on the ground. Also, after while graffiti area gets wear off.
My recommendation is if you are looking for reliable/small/easy to use day runner and have money to spend, choose Palm Vx. Since the technology develops faster than your salary, you can not buy this type of gadget once year. Also, after two years you might have to get new one with better function and looks. So buy only if money is no option
