| daklown's Full Review: Canon BJC 1000 InkJet Printer |
I've tested and used many different Canon printers over the years and this one is my least favorite. It is a fair printer, yielding respectable color results and very good Black & White print in reasonable times. However, it doesn't have the quality of print of the newer models when it comes to photo output, nor the high quality (near laser) of the faster models.
The fastest ink jet I've tested so far has been the Canon 6000 and it does a decent job of color as well.
The best ink jet for photos that I've used or tested so far is the Epson line of printers.
The best ink jet for "Near Laser Quality" print I've tested so far has to be the Canon line, although many others are right up there.
For the price, you can't beat this printer. If you want it to last and produce consistent results, always use only Canon inks and good to high quality papers. The best paper I've found for use in this printer and other ink jets is the Champion brand of Laser printer paper.
Canon is the leader in ink jet technology and they build some of the best printers I've tested.
