| Lisatwinmom's Full Review: Canon BJC 1000 InkJet Printer |
This was the first printer that my husband and I purchased, we didn't really know what we would need so we went with inexpensive. The Canon BJC 1000 was only $30.00 after a mail-in rebate so you can't beat the price but we soon found out why it was so inexpensive.
From the very beginning the paper would never load straight so everything we printed came out a bit crooked. This was very inconvenient because my husband is a college student and he didn't want his papers to be slanted. We lived with the crookedness for a while and then the paper would constantly jam. We would be lucky to get one paper printed and then no more paper would load. The printer would say out of paper even when it wasn't. This got to be very frustrating.
Also you have to have two ink cartridges, one for color and one for black and white, so every time you want to print color you have to change cartridges which gets rather tiresome.
The only good thing about this printer was the card making software called Creative Home which came with the printer for free. I have used that and enjoyed it much more than the printer.
We stuck with the Canon BJC 1000 for about four months, it did have it's good days where it would work but it was just totally unreliable. We may have been unlucky and just picked up a bad printer but I think that if you buy cheap than you will get a product that works cheaply.
