| artiste's Full Review: Epson Stylus Photo 875DC InkJet Printer |
Epson Stylus is good for beginners in digital photography. It produces resolutions of 1,440 by 720 dpi. It has a six color ink system and a built in PC card film reader. Users don't need a PC because this model will print directly from the camera.
The model includes all equipment to get started except for a USB cable. Power comes internally from the printer. The plus side to this is that there is no AC adapter to get in the way. It is so simple to connect.
I like how fast and easy it is to print directly from Epson Stylus. You take the Flash card from the digital camera and insert it into the built in PC card film reader. The photos are printer directly from the card. The model has a black ink tank and five tone integrated color ink tank. The whole color cartridge must be replaced if just one color is empty. The cost per color print is 27 cents and black prints are six cents per page.
The Epson Stylus has okay speed and the print quality overall is quite strong. A color photo 8 by 11 inches is printed in under 3 minutes at a resolution of 720 by 720 dpi. Quality and speed is very good. However, colors need improvement in terms of saturation. Skin tones came out alittle red and the edges are fuzzy.
Epson has a web site which gives allot of details about Photo 875DC. It tells users how to order parts and supplies. This model comes with a one year limited warranty.
I recommend this printer for owners of the digital camera if they desire okay quality with good speed. This printer is inexpensive costing only $169.
