The Bottom Line: This is a printer for people who want professonal image quality on a wide array of paper choices (Basically, this is the top of the line. Period.)

This is the absolute best printer that I have seen in my life. Not only does it have the best image quality I have seen, but it also accepts an enormous array of paper, including 13" by 40" poster paper. I use it to print pictures from my Kodak DC290 2 Megapixel Digital Camera (see review), and they come out better than film pictures.
This printer comes with amazing printing tools. It has HP ZoomSmart, allowing you to take any document and enlarge or decrease it's size to fit on any sized paper. It also has other little tools, such as booklet printing, watermarks, PhotoRet, tiling, paper width sensors, fast-drying ink etc. All of these combine to help you make the best images, reports, booklets, posters etc. that you can make.
The speed of this printer is about average for printers of the class. Nothing too good here, but if you want first-class image quality, you've got to sacrifice something, and in this instance it is speed.
So far, I have not had any compatibility issues, and that is pretty good, considering that my computer is fairly prone to them (custom configuration, Athlon CPU, ATI Rage Fury MAXX card etc.), so I have to say that this printer is compatible with almost everything.
Although I highly recommend this printer, I can easily make a list of people that should not buy it -
People with small budgets
People with no need for high-quality prints
People who need very fast printing
People with no use for printing on large paper
If you are not any one of these four, this printer is for you!
