I had just purchased a digital camera and was not happy with the quality of prints from my existing printer. I had purchased HP printers in the past as well as other brands, and decided to go back to the HP brand. This printer has all the features I was looking for. Specifically, the ability to print directly from the smart card. The added benefit here is that you can upload pictures on the smart card through the printer in a fraction of the time required to do it through the serial connection on the camera itself. I liked the fact that it has a separate tray for 4x6 photo size sheets. If you really need to, it can print both sides of the page. It took me all of 10 minutes to learn to use the features of this printer. Although a little pricey, I found it on sale on HP.com.
