Pros: Very easy to use, prints great

The Bottom Line: A printer that is under $200, never jams, simple to use, and rivals original photos, can't be beat!

| mwcox's Full Review: Hewlett Packard PhotoSmart 1215vm InkJet Printer |
I have had my printer for several months now and it has performed flawlessly. I do not print a lot, but, of the things I have printed, they are of excellent quality. We recently printed an iron on transfer for my mother. It was a picture of all her grandchildren. We ironed it onto a apron. The picture was great and she loved it.
We also have a camera that uses the SD memory stick that just plugs in, this too works flawlessly. The print quality sure rivals a standard photograph. The colors are very vibrant and crisp.
I use the USB cable interface on Windows 2000 Professional on a Dell Optiplex GX400. Fall of 2003, I upgraded to Windows XP and this printer was auto detected by the OS, so, didn't have to install the HP drivers as before. I have used all types of paper and all work well with minimal ink bleeding.
This printer features 1200dpi, has slots for SD and Compact Flash memory cards, will print envelops, as well as photo quality on glossy paper.
Update:
February 2004 - The printer continues to work great!
