Why do I replace my printers? Plain and simple, you can purchase a basic printer for less money than the price of two cartridges. I remember the first time the ink ran out, and I couldn't believe that it was going to be at least $30 per item, and usually you need a color and black one about the same time. That is $60. The first time this happened, I wasn't in complete shock, because my original printer purchase was over $250 about five years ago.
However, now that the price of a basic printer has come down to the real world, I am collecting printers. It is cheaper! Let me explain.
I saw on the internet a Lexmark Z11 printer for $69.99 with a $20 discount, and $7.99 shipping. That brought the cost down to $57.95. However, there was a $40 Lexmark rebate, which made the total cost of my newest printer $17.95. So what makes more sense, paying about $60 for two new cartridges, or $17.95 for a new printer with the cartridges. Easy math!
Before I ordered this, I check on epinions, and was happy to see that 85% of reviewers were very satisfied with their purchase. That was good enough for me.
It arrived in it's own neat little box, complete with a cable. This printer was a dream to set up. It came complete. The software for installation was simple to follow, but best of all, the quality of printing is superb! With 1200 x 1200 resolution, which gives you photo quality pictures is the highest of any printer in its class. Although it only prints 4 pages per minute in black and white, I'm not in a hurry, so waiting is normal for ALL of my printers.
Another great feature is the cartridge has an ink gauge that let's you know when the ink is low.....or in other words, when it's time to order another printer.
Keep computing and saving!
