| apbnews's Full Review: Lexmark Jet Z11 InkJet Printer |
I already owned a black and white laser printer, so using black ink was not an issue. I was only interested in the quality of the color prints the the Lexmark Z11 produced.
I have owned the printer for a little over one year, and was happy with the performance. I mostly used it for flyers, brochures and the like. Occasionally, a photo was printed however, I missed the quality of a normally developed photo.
About one month ago, the paper began mis-feeding and jamming almost every other time I printed. And, then two days ago it grabbed a complete stack and jammed for the last time. Now, it does not see any paper in the feeder. DOA. That's why I call it disposable. For the price (I paid less than $50), it was worth the prints I received.
Two things to keep in mind if you are considering purchasing the Lexmark Z11...it's use of ink is high and the cartridges are very expensive. The highest on the market from what I can see. It's a good starter, but you will soon find yourself wishing you had invested a little more money and purchased with the future in site.
