Pros: High Quality printing, fairly quick, small.
Cons: Paper feeder gets crazy.
The Bottom Line: Good for a "TIDE ME OVER 'TIL" printer. Poor long term dependability.

I am currently using my second LEXMARK Z11 Printer, and getting ready to toss it too.
I bought my first LEXMARK Z11 at Wal-Mart on sale. I was not very computer savvy and wanted a cheap, dependable printer. My LEXMARK Z11 fit my needs perfectly. With high quality printing and ease of use I was very pleased.
My LEXMARK Z11 is about 18" wide and with the paper guide, about 18" tall. The compact style really is nice as I have a small table I call my desk.
As I said I was not very computer savvy when I bought it and still am not that literate YET! My LEXMARK Z11 came with a CD to install it and a very easy to read and understand "Read-Me" file attached. Installation was a breeze. Set-up was fast and simple. In no time at all I was printing all those interesting and funny tidbits that the internet offers. The command window is so simple to use, even my first grader can use it!
After about 6 months the bubble burst. The paper feeder went crazy and started feeding the paper crooked. I am fairly handy but could not fix this. I went to the LEXMARK site (www.Lexmark.com) which was very easy to navigate and I located the Service Dept. number. There were serval on-line options however I prefer to talk live with someone when I have a problem.
The Service Rep. was more that patient when I started explaining my problem and without any hesitation send me a new printer along with a label for free shipping if I wanted to send the old one back, which I did.
Now I have my second LEXMARK Z11 printer and it's having the same problem. I thought about calling the service center again but won't. It's been over a year with this one. I haven't used it half as much as the first and figure if I had.... It would have given out about the same time as the first.
