| amberdtc's Full Review: Xerox DocuPrintâ„¢ C8 InkJet Printer |
When I bought my Hewlett Packard computer, I opted not to buy the printer. I did not feel I had use for one. Yes, I admit I was stupid, which is why a few months ago, I went printer shopping. I had to have a printer for work documents so I wanted an affordable, decent quality printer. I looked at several models including HP, before deciding on my Xerox DocuPrint C8.
Several factors influenced my decision to buy this one. Cost, obviously, was a big factor. The printer only cost sixty dollars plus it had a twenty dollar rebate. Another factor was that it mimicked printers of higher quality in its dpi rate. It prints up to 600 X 600 dpi on plain paper and up to 1200 X 600 dpi on photo paper. Speed was not really a concern for me but it does print up to 5 black and white pages per minute and about 3 color pages per minute.
The one feature that hooked me was the ink cartridges. This printer has separate cartridges for each color instead of one ink tank. Each cartridge costs about ten bucks. They do not use up quickly either. I have had my printer for about four months now and still have not had to change my cartridges. (I print stuff like crazy too!)
The printer is very small and fits nicely on even a small computer desk or area. I have not had any problems with it so far. If you are looking for a printer for average, run of the mill use, I would definitely recommend this one. It even comes with some great software for card creating, etc.
