I purchased my DocuPrint P8 a year and a half ago and have been very pleased. It is much more compact and less expensive than many other laser printers. It is takes up approximately the same amount of space as many ink jet printers and prints in a fraction of the time. I generally have my printer set to have the paper feed come up out of the printer to help conserve space, although if you are printing labels or thick paper, there is a switch to set the paper to come out flat. It is extremely easy to use and the ink cartridges are simple to change. The only problem that I've ever had with the printer was that it started printing thick lines down the center of the page which later changed to a total lack of ink. However, this problem was fixed when I was able to clean the dust out of it. It seems that my college dorm room floor wasnt the best place to keep it. I definitely recommend this printer for a home, but based on the dust problem I only recommend it for a dorm room if there is ample space to set it on the desk and ensure it will be taken good care of.
