| moremail's Full Review: Xerox DocuPrint XJ6C InkJet Printer |
I've purchased 2 Xerox machines, one is this Model XJ6C.
I will never buy another xerox product for as long as I live, this particular machine worked perfectly fine for the first 8 months, however, I started having paper jamming problems with it after that point.
It originally started out that way when it pulled paper in and slightly to an angle, causing it to crumple and jam in the printer. THEN just like my Xerox multi-function machine that I have it stopped pulling paper in altogether!
It'll sometimes pull it in at an angle, but most often it'll start printing, you look inside the printer and everything seems to be working okay, but it just won't grab the paper and pull it in.
After my warranty expired I took it to a Xerox reseller near where I live, he told me that he's seen several of this particular machine in his shop having the rubber wheels replaced. (these are the black rubber wheels that are what grabs your paper and pulls it through) The rubber is so soft that it wears down with normal use and eventually it can't get ahold of your paper... he wanted to replace them for me at a cost that would've been more expensive than to get a whole new machine!
I then went and bought a new HP. Not a problem yet, but I'll keep you all posted!
