If you're looking for high quality, high resolution, accurate color printing - look elsewhere. However, if you're in the market for an inexpensive printer (mine was $60 after rebate) which is capable of producing reasonable color prints and above average text, this may be the printer for you. To get reasonable color, you'll have to do some tweaking. The printers software includes the ability to set saturation levels for the various hues, and if you're able to adjust these to obtain acceptable output, more power to you. I've had no success, and instead leave them at their default levels and use Paint Shop Pro to adjust the saturation (increase) and brightness (decrease) in order to generate prints of acceptable quality. You can probably get similar results using your own graphics software, Irfanview is a freeware program which allows saturation and brightness adjustments. If you can put up with the tweaking you'll have a sturdily built printer which comes with a 3 year parts and labor warranty - Overall, I give it a thumb sideways.
