This was the first printer I ever got, and I must say it was because I couldn't afford a better one. It sounded like a good deal and I purchased it prior to joining Epinions or knowing about the site, so I couldn't see how many others hated this foul thing too.
First off I would like to state the one good thing this printer has: good print quality at not so bad speeds. It prints clearly without smudging and the print head stays well done. Alas, that is the only thing good about this printer.
This printer only lasted a year. After numerous paperjams, and blownout cartridges, the thing just died. D-I-E-D. Stopped working completely, and it won't even turn on. Customer Support won't talk to me about it except to say, "We have had some complaints about that, that is unfortunate". HUH? Had some complaints about it but oh well? Wonderful.
Speeds for printing were around 5-8 pages per minute if they weren't too complicated. The size was about moderate for a printer, not too small not too large. But the quality of the printer itself, with the manufacturing and the life of the printer just doesn't justify the price you are paying.
