What a wondeful CD-RW drive! I can't ask for anything more

The HP CD-Writer Plus 9200i Series, CD-RW drive is amazing. It may not be top of the line, or the best thing out there, but it sure can compete. With Write speeds up to 8x, Rewrite speeds at 4x, and read speeds at 32x, this drive is amazing.
Ive used it as a burner, and as a normal CD-Rom drive, and to be honest, can't tell the differnce between it and my regular CD-Rom drive. I try to use the other drive for reading, to save the wear and tear on this one, but there is no difference between the two.
As a burner this drive is incredible. When you insert a CD-R or CD-RW disc a menu pops up asking what you want to do. It then easily guides you thru many great choices. Included is Adaptec software, which is really easy to use, but i prefer MusicMatch myself. It is better for music quality, which is what i mainly make CD's of. Occasionally i do make back-up copies of my CD-Roms, and Adaptec is better for that. I supposed Adaptec is better in the sense that it is faster than MusicMatch, which only burns at up to 2x unless you spend money to upgrade, whereas Adaptec burns at 4x, until you set it otherwise. But who wants to burn a music CD at 4x, that just increases the chance of skipping, and reduces the sound quality. Oh well, that's just me. Anyway, ive never had a problem with my drive burining a CD, once my parents turned off my computer in the middle of a burn, so i lost that CD, and once my computer froze because i was doing too many things at once, but the drive never failed on me (knock on wood).
I recommend this to any newcomer to the CD-Burning world, and anyone who just needs a drive to burn occasionally and replace an older slower drive.
