I purchased the Iomega Zip drive only five days ago, but so far I think is is pretty great. My favorite thing is that I can bring it to work since it is portable and download songs with the high-speed connection, then copy them onto the cds to listen to on the way home! It will save me a lot of money on cds.
I would say it is pretty simple to install. I installed it at home on Windows 98 and at work on Windows 2000 without any difficulty at all. It only took about 20 minutes.
I bought it at Comp Usa for $199.00. The salesman also gave me a rebate slip for 50.00. When I compared the UPC codes, they did not match. I then called the phone number on the slip. She said that I had bought the older model that is on sale. I really do not know what the difference is though.
So far I have made about eight cd's. I have thrown away about 4 due to errors. I highly suggest doing the test first when copying cds. It will save you some money.
