Pros: Iomega name, USB
Cons: Doesn't accept all brand names of CD-R media
The Bottom Line: I recommend this because you can't get a better USB burner for the money. And it's also as fast as any USB burner because of the limitations of USB.

| tram66's Full Review: Iomega ZipCD CD-RW Burner |
I purchased the Iomega ZipCD about a month ago through the Apple Store. When I first took it out of the box I thought it was the ugliest thing I ever saw. I still do. But, it does what it's supposed to. Installation of the software was a breeze. Unfortunately though the version of Toast isn't the full version. If you are going to burn more CD's then just data and audio CD's, I recommend that you pick up the full version.
Burning CD's is pretty easy with Toast. However you should take the time to set up your computer for writing CD's. If you do, you will have far less coasters. Since I figured out I should set the computer, I haven't made had one write fail. It is important that you plug the USB cord directly into your computer and that when you write the CD you only have the necessary extensions on and the necessary USB devices plugged in. If you follow those simple guidelines, you should enjoy a great burner.
Also for some reason, the burner dosen't accept all types of media. I just bought a 50 pack of Memorex 80 min CD's to find out they wouldn't be recognized. However, it does recognize 80 min. discs. I used Fuji Film before. Iomega's website has a list of the media they have tested.
