| kuchinator's Full Review: Iomega ZipCD CD-RW Burner |
I got my burner in October of 2000. Installation was snap, very easy to use. Had manually assign a drive letter to it for it to work, but that wasn't hard, just have to right click my computer and click properties, find it in the list of devices and click its properties and assign a letter to it. Lots of steps but takes less than 2 minutes. The USB interface is very easy and fast. All my devices are all USB, I do not get anything thats not. I really like the Adaptec DirectCD feature. It allows me to use the burner as I would any other drive, giving me full access from all programs. It is really easy to make a data cd, just use windows explorer and drag anything you want onto the drive letter you assigned the burner and thats it, but on my computer, application files need to be right clicked and copied, and then pasted onto the cd, otherwise it will burn a shortcut to the file. Ive made at least 50 music cd's and several hundred data backup cd's with it and have had no problems yet. I am very satisfied with it.
