If you want to go totally bonkers while trying to do what the manufacturer bills as an "easy task", then this is the gadget for you. It's true it is easy to install, just flip the cd on your cd rom and watch it go, but then kiss your sanity goodbye.
Once installed, this piece of garbage gives you all sorts of incomprehensible messages and schedules which you are not able to edit, or if it does not feel like it, is just does not do anything at all! Sometimes you get a message with the drawing of a man in a lab coat, you press the "go ahead" and it goes back to the scheduler, which does not allow you to ammend!
I spent about $110.- on this horrific gadget because my husband wanted to save a lot of his work-related files in order to free up some much needed space in his hard drive. We had heard the name so we went with it. About two weeks later we read in our local newspaper's business section that Syquest was filing for bankruptcy. Well, small miracle!
Also, forget about technical support; since the company was filing Chapter Thirteen or Eleven or whatever, you get a lengthy message and if you care to wait, pack a lunch.
I would recommend this maybe to my worst enemy (which, thankfully, I do not have) and only if the person caught me on a particularly bad day!
