Great scanner

Pros: Reliable, solid, quiet, great quality scanner

Cons: bulky machine, bundled software problematic

The Bottom Line: Highly recommended for older operating systems, but have not been personally able to successfully use in WinXP machine.

Originally purchased in July 99, and still works beautifully as of August 2003. Installation of SCSI card was easy even for us newbies - excellent instructions provided. We have used it mainly to scan photos and documents, and occasionally converted to text document. Have always been happy with scanning results, with easy to use settings.
Works well with Win98, but after several attempts and extensive research, could not get proper driver to successfully install in our WinXP computer. We will continue re-trying occasionally.
Our recent attempt to find a new comparable scanner in this price range failed. Overall an excellent machine even 4 years after purchase.
