I have just ordered this BearPaw Mustek flatbed scanner from HomeShopping,
and it looks great and sounds like it will be a real positive addition to my computer. I was impressed by the "five buttons" on the front which
will let the user e-mail, fax, copy, or scan by simply pressing a button.
Also I watched as the presenter scanned a picture and e-mailed it quickly to a friend by pressing one button and typing in the e-mail address. The
e-mail form came up automatically. Then she scanned a real watch, and it worked quickly as well. I don't know much about scanners, but I have
installed several different kinds for friends and showed them how to use them, and this one seems easier to use than any I have seen. What difference should the "48bit" part make? I had an Epson 636u for a few weeks, but it would not work correctly, and it was much harder to use than the ones I had seen. If anyone has tried this Mustek BearPaw Scanner, please let me know.
