This is my third scanner. The other two have broken after a year and the cost of repair was higher than buying this one. I am amazed at the ease of use! I have had no problems at all. The software that lets me crop and rotate, etc. has real ease, too. What I like about it, when your cursor is over the button, the explanation is right there and stays long enough to read it!! This certainly helps make up for not having a hard copy manual.
After two other scanners and not being able to use them to their max because of how complicated they were, I am finding this one is in daily use. I just hope it lasts longer than it's guarantee. Did I mention the other two scanners? One was the same price and had about 10 steps to capture a picture <a Mustak>. The other was almost double the price of this one <an HP> and still difficult to use.
I think I may have paid a higher price than necessary, as I got it from QVC, but I live in a remote area with little shopping available for this kind of item.
For the money and the ease of installation and use, I think it is a great buy.
