Pros: EXCELLENT quality sounds, inexpensive price
Cons: Location of power/volume dial, shorted wire problem potential, location of subwoofer volume control
The Bottom Line: Despite a few flaws, this is my favorite PC speaker system to date.

I'll start off by saying these are the best PC speakers I have owned. I've also heard a lot of other speakers at various computer stores, computer fairs and from those owned by friends/associates and I still prefer my ACS 44's. The base is clear and strong and the overall sound is very high quality. Epinions shows this as having an estimated retail price of $80 but I bought two sets within the last year at Best Buy in California for under $50.
The negatives are:
1) the power/volume dial does not stick out enough to make it easy to turn.
2) one of my sets developed a wire short problem in the speaker without the power dial and the wire is hard-wired or I'd replace it. It works fine now but if I bump the wire I get no sound in that speaker.
3) although I usually leave my subwoofer volume set in one place, changing the volume on the subwoofer is a major pain since I've located it on the floor behind my desk. The volume dial for it is on the subwoofer itself.
These negatives are not enough for me not to want to buy one. I don't think they sell this model anymore but if I was in the market and found one used in good shape, I would not hesitate to purchase it.
