| glitchTF's Full Review: Altec Lansing ADA 305 2 Speakers |
After I blew out the original speakers that came with my computer, I needed a replacement. I couldn't stand the fuzz, and to make the problem worse, it was hard to turn the old speakers on due to the rubber tips on the volume adjuster. My friend told me he had just bought the ADA 305 speakers, and absolutely loved them. I went to a computer retail shop, and tested them out, and was not disappointed. So, I decided to buy the speaker system.
When I arrived at home and set them up, I was amazed because I received a clearer, and louder sound than I was experiencing in the store. Just to see how loud I could get them, I plugged in the speakers I just replaced.
I think the ADA 305 speaker system, is unmatchable for the price. Here's why:
1) The software that comes with the speakers is a zip to install, and comes with very useful software. When you adjust the volume level, it shows right on your screen how loud you have it set, and that's without opening any program and checking it. The software also has a visual representation of each speaker, and how the sound is coming out of it. In addition to that, the software also has 4 settings, which are user-programmable to meet specific listening needs.
2) The ADA 305 system comes with 2 modes. You can have it play in stereo mode, which only uses two speakers, and the subwoofer. Or you can bump it up a notch and use all 5 of the speakers (Dolby Digital Mode), which gives a great surround sound. Please note: There are only two actual speakers that come with the system, but each of the satellites have two speakers each.
3) Adjusting the levels of volume, center, bass, etc... is extremely easy, and the buttons will not wear down like on some systems with rubber knobs.
4) The user also has the ability to add more speakers to the system through the ADA 305 subwoofer. This is great if you are looking for some great listening, and possibly surround sound.
5) The speakers have great clarity even at high volume levels, which is great because it prolongs the life of the speakers, by lessening the chances of a blow-out to occur.
6) And, finally, by the design of the speakers, you can tell that the ADA 305 system was definitely designed for true surround sound.
Many individuals could benefit from the use of the ADA 305 system. These work great for PC gamers, looking for great sound clarity, as well as great clarity at high volume levels. These speakers are also a great addition to any computer that runs music alot. The ADA 305 system meets great standards of sound, and could be a valuable addition to any computer system. You will not regret purchasing this system. The speakers even turn on by themselves, requiring no work to turn them off or on.
I have had the ADA 305 system for one-year now, and will soon be upgrading to the ADA 880R system for a new computer I am building. I made this choice do to the great sound the ADA 305 system gives.
