| Pherret101's Full Review: Altec Lansing ADA 305 2 Speakers |
First off, let me just say that ADA305 Digital PowerCube Speaker System is the best pair of speakers that I have ever listened or seen at the price its at. When I purchased the speakers I had no idea what Altec Lansing was and what their products were like. But, to my luck, Altec had just come out with the New ADA 305 and the original were on sale so I gave it a try. These are truly the best audio speakers that are around.
With a new Dolby® Pro Logic decoder in the subwoofer, just two good sized speakers give you the feel of total surround sound. Unlike regular speakers that put out sound from one channel, ADA 305 takes one channel of audio and splits it into 4 giving you the surround sound feel. This is possible because Altec Lansing uses the USB port of your computer to help control the flow of sound from your sound card to your speakers.
In addition, the USB port makes it possible to use specialized software to change the settings of speakers. For example, if you want to make more bass come out of the Sub, then you just click on the Sub icon and change it, its that simple. Also, if you don't want to use the Prologic System, you can change it to the Stereo if so desired. Plus, if you don't want to use the Audio Software, you can just use the speakers it self to change the Volume, Subwoofer, Center Speaker, and designate if you want to have Proglic on or off.
Overall, the ADA305 Digital PowerCube Speaker System is about the best buy for your money right now. These speakers can be better then a stereo if you use them correctly and place the sub in the right area. So, if you are ever in a computer store, ask about ADA 305 and I'm sure the person you ask will tell you the same thing I just did.
