I got these speakers for my computer about a year ago to replace the cheap speakers that came with the computer. Wow, I was impressed. These speakers pack quite of punch. The speakers come in two colors, either black or white. You don’t have to be an audio expert to hook these speakers up. There are two inputs so you can plug in multiple devices. There is a bass control knob on the back to adjust the bass to your liking. Unfortunately, it also comes with a cheap looking remote that is tedious to use because of the long wires.
The satellites are of great quality, putting out clear treble that does not glare at high volumes. The high and mid range are very easy to tell apart when listening to music. But don’t let the small size of the satellites turn you away. The subwoofer is where theses speakers shine. Even at high volumes, the bass is very clear with no distortion like many other speakers. I’ve used these speakers to play games and listen to mp3s and both sound great. Games don’t sound too boomy and MP3s play crisp and clear.
For the price ($150), these speakers are a great deal. They don’t compare to the super high end systems, but they come very close. In fact, one day I decided to plug my Discman into the speakers and pretty soon this setup replaced my $350 bookshelf stereo system in my apartment. Also be sure you have a good sound card. These speakers will not sound with a cheap on-the-motherboard sound card. If you are willing spend around $150 for speakers, you might as well get a good sound card to complement it.
