A few months ago I built a computer for my significant other. I knew that I would need some external speakers for her new PC, but as she was not a heavy computer user, I did not want to spend a fortune. With the purchase of these Cambridge Soundworks speakers, I don't think I could have made a better decision.
These speakers are absolutely fantastic. Usually when you buy "cheap" audio components, the sound quality is poor, but such is not the case with these. The PC Works speakers by far are not a full theater surround system for your PC, but I can't imagine doing better for the price.
This set includes two tiny box shaped speakers which can be tucked right underneath your monitor. They emit surprisingly colorful sound for the price that you pay for them. The included speaker stands allow them to act as great free standing speakers also.
The separate subwoofer adds a great amount of depth to any audio that you listen too. A separate amplifier is not needed as it is built into the backside of the subwoofer box. Also included is a mountable volume control switch that allows you to control the peak volume of the set.
Overall, I am pretty surprised at the quality of these speakers. If you are looking for that full theater surround for your PC, then these are probably not the ones for you. But if you desire an great sound for a very reasonable price, then I would highly advise this set.
