As a computer consultant, I test many different brands and types of computer hardware, software, and networking components. Of all the speakers I've seen, tested, and tried, Labtec makes some of the best going for their price.
Add a subwoofer to the LCS-1016 speaker set and you have an amazing sound for less than $70.00.... I've seen the LCS-1016 set for under $20.00 and the Labtec subwoofer for under $50.00 so complete with tax and all you're looking at a total of only about $70.00.. An excellent purchase for the outstanding sound quality you'll get.
I've set these up for more than one customer and they are exceedingly pleased with the sound quality they get. I have Labtec speakers on my own system, although the main speakers are not this set, and I believe the Labtec speakers rival the sound of our home stereo system (major name brand with surround sound and Dolby noise reduction).
If you're seeking high quality, good sounding speakers at a reasonable price - look no further. The Labtec speakers are outstanding.
