| castrostreet's Full Review: Yamaha YST-MS30 2 Speakers |
When my $9.95 pair of el cheapo south american sweatshop produced speakers but the dust I knew it was time for something real. Something with some power and clarity. I headed on down to Fry's and went to work. I tested out every powered speaker system on display and had to tear myself away from the ultra thin flat panel speakers of the competitors for this set.
Word of advice when you go to compare these systems close your eyes. There are alot more cool looking systems out ther but really come on it's all about the sound. Eyes closed this was the closest thing to audio perfection I heard. They don't look bad, 2 little boxes and a bigger box subwoof but they are hardly cutting edge on looks. But on sound they are flawless.
Face it most PC's now ship with at least 16 bit sound. My system came with a 64 bit soundblaster card and a pair of crappy speakers. That is like owning a Bose tuner and a pair of Roadmaster speakers.....
