qtrek's Full Review: Hauppauge WinTV PVR-350 (990) Video Capture
I chose this card because all the USB 2 versions I tried Sucked and I did not want one built onto my video card.
The installation was fussy because it conflicts with other hardware. Downloaded drivers fixed this.
This card produced video that looked great coming from my direct TV box, and the output to TV looked lossless. Some time I would forget what the source was, file or live TV.
It has a 1 - 2 second delay, but this is expected since the card has to encode then decode the video in real time. This card is NOT GOOD for playing video games on your computer. But this is not what I bought it for.
I do not use the included DVD software because I have other methods for mastering the files to ~whatever format and my APEX ad-660 can play the files directly from a hard drive.
If you do not need the TV out or FM radio in, get the 250 since its $50 cheaper. I guarantee that if you get the 350, you will be using its TV out feature. Like a Tivo but without the on screen stuff.
