That is inexpensive. I think mine costs $39.99 a month (Verizon DSL).
I should see if BellSouth caters to my area but I doubt it does.
Very good review!

Connection speed will be consistent (Reply to this comment)

Very nice review. One of my duties with AT&T (formally Bell South) is installation/repair of DSL. On a (your) DSL line the subscriber is connected to his own and separate port. Therefore you do not share band width with anyone for your connection. So, your connection speeds should vary very lite 24/7. Basically, what you get is what you have all the time. Cable however with put a hub in an area where more than one customer will share the connection and therefore share bandwidth with others. This in effect can effect connections speed depending on how many users are downloading/uploading at the same time.
I agree, if using XP or above forget the disk and after getting your solid green light just open your browser. You should get a prompt asking for your user name and password. Fill that end, do a couple clicks as prompted and you should get a screen saying close and re-open your browser. That is it (as you found out) and you are surfing. However, KEEP the CD. If you have problems in the future there are files on it that you may need if working with the help desk over the phone to resolve some issues.
