Pros: Reliable and fast
Cons: $59.95 a month for non-members of Comcast? yikes!
The Bottom Line: If you can get DSL, get it since Verizon is going cheap now with their $35 a month plan.

Installation: When I scheduled the installation, it took a week later for the technician to arrive and do his thing. He had to install a whole new cable line from the cable box into the apartment which took some time.
Computer Set-Up: my computer started to do weird stuff when he plugged the cable modem into my computer. Unfortunately, the technician only had a two hour time slot for me and he was staying overtime and he didn't have time to configure and fix my computer problem.
Tech Support: That very same day, I called tech support and they were really knowledgeable surprisingly. After getting everything to work on the computer, the modem didn't work correctly since the lights kept blinking. So, they told me the modem was broken and that I had to get a new one. I just decided to leave the cable modem plugged in just in case it would work. Surprisingly, it worked about 15 minutes later.
Router: I have a Netgear wireless router. I plugged it in and set up the routher and hooked up me and my roommate. He initially used a wireless netgear adapter on his computer. It worked, but not good for online gaming as there must be some slight delay in the wireless adapter. So we just hooked up our computer by ethernet cables.
Follow up: Comcast later called me up and they must knew we were up and running. So, I cancelled my reschedule of a technician and new modem. Everything works great so far and I've had it for 2 weeks. I download about 215 kb/sec and upload 30 kb/sec consistently.
amount paid: $19.99 a month for the first four month (promotion)
After that, it's $59.95 a month for non-members of Comcast Cable.
Conclusion: Good cable, but $60 is hefty! Since me and my roommate are splitting the bill, we figure it's decent. We don't have a phone line since we use our cell phones so we cannot get DSL.
