Pros: Good connections - and going to get better according to Freeserve.
Cons: None that I can think of.
The Bottom Line: Freeserve suits our needs just fine - there would have to be a really special offer to make us change.

| janganly's Full Review: Freeserve (UK) |
When the 'phone bill reached £120 a quarter within six months of connecting to the internet something had to be done. We signed up to one of British Telecom's internet packages - Surftime. You have to choose one of BT's approved ISP's and, of those on their list, only BTInternet and Freeserve were major players. Freeserve's installation procedure was trouble-free. What I didn't realize was that it is advisable to close all filtering programs before installing ISP software because there is a chance that one could mess the other up. After installing Freeserve we began to get problems with our filtering program, e.g. it would block my Inbox! We would also be disconnected ridiculously often, up to five times in ten minutes! But, since re-installing the filtering software we have had no problems at all - no constant disconnections, and no unnecessary blocking. Freeserve is OK, and doesn't take over your computer the way some other ISP's are reputed to do.
