Have you ever subscibed to an ISP just for technical help? I Know a lot of people do, but there is also a lot of people that will never use it. If you do use it then Aol is your isp. But if you dont, rather than having free technical support you can save £2.00 a month on subscribtion, get slightly better service that aol and you will not have to use a dialer that is crammed full of ad's.
Freeserve Anytime is a simple, yet fast and efficient ISP(Internet Service Provider). However, if you make use of your technical support then you are going to get a hefty phone bill as it is charged at 50p per minute.
The Subscription for Freeserve is £12.99 a month and can be charged to any credit, debit or switch card including solo. And this gets you access to the internet 24/7. There is no cut off periods mentioned but from my experience you get about 6 hours in the day and in the evnings because it gets busy you can get about 1 and half hours at a time before you have to reconnect. Against Aol this would save you about £48.00 a year.
Aol is charged at £14.99 a month, and you have to use there dialer which is often ingaged and is slighlty slower. Also It is crammed full of ads but it also has many free services. Where the difference is, is that with AOL you get FREE technical support against Freeserves 50p per min. So with one call with aol you could save about £5.00 that is if you use the tech support(which i never do).
The Serive offered gives you one email account Free instant Access 24/7 to the net and free webspace for a home or business website. The only trouble with your website address is that it is so long, www.yourname.freeserve.com its quite long winded. Overall it is a fast and efficient service and is well worth the money, and at the cheapest out there by two pounds a month i would say its time you moved, As there is no problems so no need for technical support.
In the day you will be able to dial up first time as it does not seem to be very busy, but in the evning some times you might have to try up to 5 times but i always get throught within 5 minutes. Most of the time i get a connection rate of 36.6k and a download rate of around 4kb/sec so overall its a solid connection. And for the price it is well worth it.
The main reason i purchased it is, 1) its one of the cheapest & 2) no annoying dialer like AOL!
