The Bottom Line: Freeserve have just hiked their charges to £15.. THis has given me impetus to move to a reliable alternative broad band service at just 27p more per day.

| flathat's Full Review: Freeserve (UK) |
Having subscribed to the Anytime service for 15 months, enough is enough. The quality of the service has deteriorated in proportion to the rise in the subscriptions and the constant e-mails telling the bemused customers how the service is improving. The initial connections are very tenuous and frequently drop out within two to three minutes and disconnection thereafter takes place at the whim of this ISP. They have been running a major campaign on national television for new business, offering new subscribers half price charges for the first three months and it seems that it is the existing customers who are paying for this generosity. All in all it is a classic case of the biggest not being the best.
