I am a part-time Unix administrator for a small company. I recently tried to get them to change the company's password. The people they hire apparently do not have much training. The first one told me the password would be changed in 4 to 48 hours. I am sorry, but is this a computer-oriented company or not. This is what happens when a bunch of small ISP's get bought out by the big companies. Finally the third person had the intelligence to correctly reassign me the new password. RCN owns many smaller ISP's and as a result the service is lousy. Why they don’t take better care of the customers that is their bread and butter. I am personally a subscriber to Netcarrier.com and am satisfied with their service. These guys at Netcarrier have grown big but kept the service despite their size. The endless phone menus was also a very annoying part of their customer DIS service and I can see where a new comer would easily get confused when trying to get the service they need. I wish anyone trying to get a good ISP a lot of luck finding a good one. The best advice I can offer is to ask their friends and co-workers for local ISP's that they have or are using to get a feel for what to expect. This one is not a choice I would make and when the contract is up their done with the company I work for. Joe gac
