| cryoscout's Full Review: Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego Classic |
"Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego" is a Broderbund classic game that goes back to my elementary school days. We'd sit around the Apple IIe and follow the clues around the world in time to stop the criminals.
This newest incarnation of "Carmen" sports integrated video clips, high quality music and voices, and the same adventurous flare the 3rd-8th graders get hooked on. Just don't tell them it's educational!
My only complaint is that they put that horribly hokey (for lack of better words) "Chief" from the PBS game show into the game. She gives you the mission briefings in the same overacted way. But the kids usually like her, so it's probably only going to be annoying to the parent that just has to listen in all the time. My suggestion: get headphones.
