One night after I got home from work I turned on my computer to find that it had went crazy. I had all of these icons listed that had been deleted months ago from the main page. My computer was not acting right at all. I immediately panicked. So I went to a friend for advice. The first thing she asked me was what type of AntiVirus program did I have. I told her that I had MacAfee which she immediately frowned on. She said that Norton is much better and insisted that I get it. She felt it was so important that I have it on my computer that she paid for it. I really didn't know how important it was to have good virus protection on my computer. I am learning more and more each day about the computer.
I was dreading doing the installing because I figured that it would be complicated. Much to my suprise it was a piece of cake. Anyone that can follow simple directions can get this installed easily.

Tools to keep your system protected:
~Automatic Live Update This is a great feature. It checks for new virus definitions while you are connected to the Internet. Your work won't be interrupted.
~LiveUpdate This updates your virus protection and Norton AntiVirus Programs. This gets you current information to delete any new viruses. This should be done once a week.
~Rescue Disks This keep your computer's important information that is needed to run properly. You should update your rescue disks at least once a month. Also you should do this if you update virus protection, install new software or make changes to your hardware.

Before I really had no idea what damage a virus could cause. It is great to know that now I am protected from whatever may try to attack my computer.
Some Tips:
Make sure you have extra disks on hand to make your rescue disks. You will need these after you install the software. Also you will need to remove any other virus protection programs that you have on your computer prior to installing Norton.
