High hopes shot to hell

Pros:Shot strength, Customer Service
Cons:Inaccurate - Tried two scopes and shots were 10" all across the board at 50ft.
The Bottom Line: I do not recommend this NPSS rifle due to poor accuracy.
I purchased this air rifle and owned it for 6 months. In that time I fired over 1000 shots. I used multiple .22 pellet manufacturers to asses its accuracy. Also, in that time, not one could hit the center of a target 50ft away.

Thank goodness for customer service. They tried to help, but no courtesy will help solve a products poor performance. Here is what happened:
1. They sent me a replacement Centerpoint scope, stating that the one on the rifle was defective. I had to send them back the old scope, so shipping charges of around $10 were incurred. They should have sent me a return label imho.
2. The new scope didn't solve the problem whatsoever. The rifle kept shooting erratically even when trying 5 different pellet manufacturers. Every scope adjustment to center on target showed that the next shot was off by 6" or more.
3. I finally called Crossman to complain and they wanted to replace the rifle with a new one. What they didn't know is that my father, in another part of the country also purched the identical rifle and had the same exact problems. No, I said. I want my money back and/or a different rifle. Crossman agreed to send me a different model from their website.
I would not recommend the NPSS rifle to anyone due to very poor accuracy and inability to center on target. The build quality seems good enough; tough plastic that won't could withstand being drug through brush country if need be. I keep mine as a backyard shooter, so this didn't concern me. The recoil seemed excessive and, per customer service, they don't recommend installing any other brand scope in the rifle except the Centerpoint. Apparently Centerpoint is designed to handle the excessive "double" recoil NPSS air rifles have (compared to other air rifle scopes??) Regardless, the scope wasnt' able to be centered on target and the rifle was worthless at that point.
