Pros: Good Quality, Made in USA, Dale Earnhardt Sr rocked, Wood, Image
Cons: Nothing fancy but nice looking
I haven't watched many NASCAR races since 2001, which was the year, that Dale Earnhardt Sr died. That Daytona race, I shall never forget, because I still don't know how to explain that " I knew" when he hit that wall. He was my favorite driver, and although I sort of root for his son in a casual way, I've lost my passion for racing for the most part. Yes I still attend the Richmond event every several years or so, but without "The Intimidator" out there, to chase Jeff Gordon around, its not the fun it used to be. Its sort of exciting to watch Virginia native Denny Hamlin there, and I am sick of Jimmie Johnson, seeming to be the winner almost every season now. That wouldn't be the case if Dale lived longer.
There are a few decorations that I have in my "man cave" downstairs, and the vast majority of them are to the Sox and Patriots. Yet this wooden sign, that was given to me as a gift, is in a prominent spot just by the staircase. The sign is of good quality, made with about a 1/4" of thickness, and built to last. Its a picture of that famous #3 Goodwrench car, in all of its glory, with the words "Pit Road Club" underneath it. I think its attractive, and doesn't look cheesy, much in how a lot of other NASCAR merchandise has a reputation for. This is a fine reminder of not only the man, but of his famous black car, that was often on the tail of another driver.
I think this is a good picture, and will look classy everywhere. Yes, some might scoff at the "sport", but I liked it when Dale was behind the wheel. Those who make fun of it, will at least agree that this looks pretty good. For once this is a product, that is made in the United States. It has a hole at the top, where I nailed it to the wall, and its easy to clean. Just a damp cloth, and it looks as if it is brand new. I'm not sure where you can find these, but this is a good decoration if you are a fan of Dale's or racing. RIP #3, you are for sure driving laps in Heaven.
