The Bottom Line: If you are someone who likes to make the most of your laptop, this great machine is for you since it's specifications are great for its price. A satisfying product.
I've been using my Inspiron 15 for 2.5 years now and I am a little bothered. At the time I bought it, the specifications were the best in the market. It had a Intel i5 processor, 4 GB RAM, 1GB Graphic card and a 320 GB hard disk. The metallic design, and a unique metallic touch pad made me get its attention. For someone like me who was in college and on the laptop 24/7, this was a great buy at an attractive price. I also upgraded to the to a 3-year accidental protention warranty which only Dell provides.

In the beginning, I played many high graphic games like CounterStrike Source, Assin's Creed 2, GTA, etc. on it which would run without a glitch. Data transfer speeds were unbelievable and some low size files moved without the transfer window being displayed. The usual transfer speed I would get with a non-powered external hard disk was about 70-80 Mbps.
At the time of buying my laptop, Dell's representatives told me that this laptop was going to have heating problems before but I overlooked it since I was getting a very powerful machine. I considered it a fair trade-off.
The heating problem was prevalent all through out because of which the heat sink was replaced twice in 2 years.
After about 2 years of owing the laptop, the battery charging became a huge problem. The batter back-up which was earlier upto 3-3.5 hours had decreased to about 1.5. From there, it kept decreasing to a point when the battery would take a longer time to charge then to discharge. This was after me being well averse of the tips provided by Dell to increase battery life of the laptop . And since the battery replacement isn't covered even in the accidental protection warranty (I thought it was), buying a new battery did pinch.
Apart from that, the laptop had a trial version of McAfee Antivirus and the full version of Microsoft Office. There were a few other basic softwares included as well.
On the whole, I've had a great experience with my laptop. Though it has had problems, they were lesser then what I have experienced in the past with other laptops.
