On overnights at my job we use the DEWALT DC012 Worksite Charger/Radio for sounds through the night and its versatility makes it a prime use for outlets when other tools that need power are needed.

DEWALT DC012 Worksite Charger/Radio
The DEWALT DC012 Worksite Charger/Radio is a radio first. It has two FM modes and an AM with 15 memory presets and an LED display with a clock.
The radio can be plugged in using the six foot cord or can be used as a portable cordless using a Dewalt 7.2 18v battery that interchanges with other Dewalt tools. It's a battery that gains full charge in an hour yet lasts well through the nine hour night without charging.
Two large switches that can be used with work gloves are on top. That's the tuning and volume controls. All the other controls are on the face of the radio that are push button.
The radio had guards around it so as to protect the radio on a work site. The black guard also seconds as the platform for the radio to rest on. It's designed to stand in any position upright, on either side, face-up, facedown or up-side down. That guard is also a handle that makes for easy grip from any angle.
This is manufactured inthe bright yellow with black trim Dewalt colors. It's a sturdy machine and can take some abuse on the job.
The unit also has three outlets on its side for power tools or perhaps a worklight. They are 110-120 volt with ground. There's a small flip out guard that protects a port that can accept CD players and MP3 players.
The radio has a full rich sound whether plugged in direct or using the portable battery that locks into the back of the unit easily and securely. I like that. This thing can really "BOOM." with an H U G E sound. In fact there have been "words" in reference to the sound carrying throughout the large building and some guys don't like the choice of music being played. it does have a rich full sounding base.
The tuning is easy and the radio picks up regular stations with it's small black rubber antenna. It's about a foot in height and is flexible. The radio has weather resistant speakers that have been outside caught in the rain a couple of times yet, the radio has never been a problem for us.
This is not particularly heavy, has lasted well enough in a very dusty and dirty environment and I can recommend it.
