Pros: Long cord, large waist bin, quiet, very maneuverable, long hose, light weight, washable filter.
First off I am a huge animal lover, especially dogs, but the dog hair can get way out of control. I've always had trouble finding a vacuum that's capable of picking up all the shed hair but i'm positive i've come to the end of my search. The Dyson DC41 Animal vacuum is by far the best best vacuum ever made. Not only is it capable of sucking up every last pet hair stuck to the carpet but it's design makes vacuuming just a little bit easier and possibly fun.
One of the most annoying things about vacuuming, for me at least, is having to un-plug and plug in the vacuum every time I move from one room to the other. But with The Dyson DC41 Animal, the cord is long enough to reach all three of my bedrooms while plugged in to the outlet in the hall. The cord reaches a length of 51.7 feet.
Another great feature is the waist bin. For most vacuums, you have to empty it every time you vacuum. The Dyson DC41 Animal vacuum holds of to .55 gallons of waist. This makes it so much easier to vacuum a few times a week and then empty the waist at the end of the week.
When it comes to maneuverability, Dyson vacuums in general are by far the easiest to maneuver. The vacuum sit on a ball that makes any angle possible to turn. Instead of going back and forth you can turn the vacuum however you would like. It is also extremely light only weighing 17.4 pounds. This makes vacuuming the whole house less of a work out and quicker. Since it doesn't weigh very much it makes it much more accessible to stairs. There is also a long reaching hose to use for the stairs as well.
Another feature of the Dyson DC41 Animal vacuum is the lifetime washable filter. This means you simply just pull the filter out wash it off with some warm water, towel dry, and slip it back in. No more trips to the store for vacuum filters or vacuum bags.
Lastly this vacuum is one of the quietest vacuums I've ever used. I can vacuum when someone's sleeping or watching tv without bothering them. The dogs aren't as scared of the vacuum either. It's nicer on the ears and makes vacuuming more enjoyable.
