Pros: Great professors, quality education.
Cons: Growing pains, not the same school I once loved.
The Bottom Line: Don't enroll here before 2006. Maybe by then this school will have figured out who it is.

| juliemy's Full Review: Seton Hill College |
When I came to Seton Hill, it was a women's-focused college. Now it's a co-ed university. In under 3 years, the school has attempted to change it's purpose, and that has caused extreme growing pains.
For example, the "newest" residence hall was built in the 1960's. Because enrollment has increased so much in the past few years, there is no place to house resident students. Doubles are now triples. In addition, some dorms have frequent power outages and two-prong outlets because the wiring is outdated.
The quality of education is, for the most part, excellent. The professors usually have their Ph.D.'s and encourage one-on-one interaction with students. The class sizes are generally small and stimulating.
As other people have noted, some of the adjunct professors aren't so fantastic here. I've even had a professor quit two weeks into a class. However, I've had a few really great adjuncts who I'm happy to have been able to take a class from, so it all evens out.
The school is building it's athletic program (hence a new athletic complex), so right now that is front and center. It seems like recruiting males and having sports is of utmost importance, so if that is what you are going to school for, enjoy it.
I, however, am glad that I am graduating soon. When I first came here, it was a completely different school. Two years ago I would have recommended this place to someone else because it offered an experience I couldn't get elsewhere. Now it is just like every other small school on the planet.
